1. Who we are

2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly through our forms, including:
- Contact details, name, email, and phone number.
- Booking details, vessel length/beam/draft, dates, power needs, and your message, when you request a dock.
- Dock owner details, dock location, specifications, photos, and notes, when you list or manage a dock.
- Newsletter sign-ups, your email address.
- Basic technical/usage data, such as pages viewed, collected by analytics if enabled (see Cookies).
3. How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries and match you with suitable docks or renters.
- To process and coordinate reservation requests with the relevant dock owner.
- To manage dock listings submitted by owners.
- To send service messages and, if you opt in, occasional listing updates.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to provide the service:
- With the relevant dock owner or renter to coordinate a booking.
- With trusted service providers that operate our platform on our behalf (for example, our database/CRM and email providers), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of FoxStays, our users, or others.
5. Payments
Submitting a reservation request is free and does not charge you. Once our team confirms your dock and you have signed the dockage agreement, you can pay by card or bank transfer (ACH), or arrange a wire or Zelle transfer with us directly.
Card and ACH payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Your full card number is entered directly with Stripe and is never stored on our servers; we retain only limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, and the payment status, so we can service your booking. Stripe processes this data as described in its own privacy policy.
If you pay by wire or Zelle, we receive the payment details your bank supplies with the transfer and keep them for accounting and reconciliation.
6. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies needed for the site to function. If analytics (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) are enabled, they may set cookies and collect aggregated usage data to help us understand and improve the site. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your choices & rights

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
